Terms

The terms you buy under.

Short, and in the same plain English as everything else here. Where a detail lives on its own page, this one points at it rather than repeating it badly.

Who you are buying from

Company Framework is operated by JD Davenport in Michigan, United States. One person, one address: support@companyframework.com.

What you are buying

Files. A kit is a folder of documents, spreadsheets, prompts and a browser tool, delivered as a download. It is not a subscription, not a service, and not an ongoing engagement. Your rights to use those files are set out on the license page.

Delivery

Downloads are instant. The link is on the page you land on after paying and in the receipt email. If a download fails, the same link is in your receipt, and if that does not work, write and it is sent again. Nothing about this is automated to the point where a failure leaves you stuck.

Prices and payment

Prices are in United States dollars and are shown on the page before you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and are never seen by this site or stored on it. Prices can change, and a change never applies to something you already bought.

Refunds

Thirty days, any reason. The detail is on the refunds page.

The free tools

Banked, Charted, Surfaced, Landed and the Helmed example are free to use and run entirely inside your browser. Nothing you put into them is uploaded. That also means nothing is recoverable if you clear your browser, so save your own work. They are provided as they are, with no warranty, and the privacy page says exactly what does and does not leave your machine.

Anchored

Anchored sends what you give it to a model in order to do its job, which is the one exception to the sentence above, and its own page says so plainly before you use it.

This is not advice

Nothing sold or published here is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and buying it creates no professional relationship. A kit is a business system. It does not address contractor licensing, sales and solicitation statutes, consumer credit disclosure, employment law, or the terms of any agreement you ask a customer or an employee to sign. Several of those carry requirements that apply whether you know about them or not, and they vary by state. If a figure one of these files produces goes into a tax return, a financial statement, a loan application or a payroll run, your accountant and your own obligations govern.

What a number here is and is not

Where a kit cites a measured figure, it comes from one residential contracting company's closed-job records across a single calendar year, on a date-closed basis. Those figures show the size and direction of a structural gap. They are not a benchmark, not a promise about your business, and should not be quoted as an industry standard. Do not discipline anybody, change anybody's pay, end an agreement or put anything in a personnel file on the strength of a number from one of these files alone.

What we do not do

We do not tell you what to charge, we do not look at your books for you, and we do not answer questions about your own numbers, your own prices or your own people. If you want somebody to build the thing inside your business rather than hand you the files, that is a different conversation and it is a real one.

Warranty and liability

Everything here is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to what you paid. You are responsible for what you publish to your own employees, for what your people say to customers, and for the conclusions you draw. No spreadsheet and no document relieves you of that.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. A change never applies backwards to something you already bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law where you live that cannot be taken away by agreement.
